Our activities and reputation in the area to the West of our offices continue to grow, and the first half of 2008 has already seen us complete the sale of 10 sites in Surrey. The most notable involved the sale of a substantial site in Hillbury Road, Warlingham, to Bellwinch Homes for a figure in excess of the £3.75m guide. Skillfully assembled by local developers Cliveden Estates over a number of years, they achieved planning permission following an appeal for the demolition of the existing four bungalows, and construction of a high quality scheme comprising 23 houses and apartments.
The Land & Strategic Property Division beat off stiff competition to secure instructions to act for Cliveden in the sale of the site, which looks likely to be the last of its size in Tandridge with no affordable housing provision. A select number of potential purchasers were approached, however, Bellwinch won the bidding, and have recently started work on site.
