Acorn's Commercial Division was appointed as sole agent for the sale of this former dairy. Used as a storage and distribution centre by an import/export firm, the site had become surplus to requirements when they subcontracted out their distribution arm. The property was offered to the market unconditionally and interest was sought on the basis of both its existing use and redevelopment potential.
A deadline for offers was set and it became apparent that two roadside operators were keen to acquire what is a highly prominent site. After a furious bidding war, the eventual successor was Watling Tyres.
