We have acted for Barnardos in the disposal of a number of properties in recent years; previously all for residential redevelopment.

Our most recent instruction came in the form of a redundant hostel and offices just off the South Circular on the Brockley / Forest Hill borders. Contrary to our previous Barnardos instructions, this property was recently built (early 1990's), and sat amongst a mixed neighbourhood in terms of uses.

With the residential market not at its best, we looked to other uses including education, health and faith in order to establish value.

Our marketing strategy was, as always, all encompassing and resulted in offers from a variety of sectors.

The property was secured by a local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, who following completion of their purchase, are now formulating plans for the redevelopment of the site to provide a new place of worship.
