Whilst the development potential of this 1960's house appeared obvious, securing planning permission took more than 3 years.
After an unsuccessful first attempt, we advised the elderly owner to employ the services of Barratt Haskins Designs. Working closely with the architects we conceived a scheme for a block of apartments that met policy criteria, and generated a premium land value.
Unfortunately the planners and local residents refused to support the scheme, and it took several applications and an appeal to secure consent.
Keen to move to a more manageable property, the owner instructed us to dispose of the site. Hambridge Homes saw it as an ideal investment, and a deal was quickly concluded.
