The Help to Buy equity loan scheme, first introduced in 2013, enables first time buyers to buy new-build properties with as little as a 5% deposit, with up to 40% of the property’s sale price covered by a Government equity loan.
This scheme is only available to first-time buyers and the property must be newly built and under £600,000 (in Greater London).
