Spookiest Pumpkin Carving Ideas 1

Spooky season has arrived at The Acorn Group and although we may be a bit too old to trick or treat, you're never too old to get creative and carve/decorate a pumpkin! This year we have decided to share with you our favourite designs that we think are particularly unique. Our favourite has to be the 'flower power' vase but has some tough competition. Take a look below and maybe we can inspire your jack-o-lantern this year!

 Flower Power

A simple but sweet pumpkin for that pop of colour to add the 'boo' factor to your home. Simply chop open the top of the pumpkin - no precision required and pop in your favourite punch of flowers or grab a few ombre branches from the garden.

Starry Night

Grab your favourite cookie cutter and create some shapes to quickly create your stylish pumpkin. This is a perfect design for young children to get stuck into as it doesn't require carving from this stage. Grab a funky coloured paint and get painting - wait to dry and there you have it... your personalised pumpkin!

Lighten Up

Halloween isn't all doom and gloom. A simple but effective one and a little patience perhaps... Cut the top of the pumpkin open and find your drill. Drill some holes in wherever your heart tells you. You can either use a tealight or we love the effect of battery-operated fairy lights popping out each hole.

Foodie Scarface

For those looking to impress, try this stitched-up pumpkin! Chop open the top of the pumpkin, carve eyes and a mouth, etch or light carve out the scar and use marzipan (or something to recreate the stitch), create some eye ball with a few olives or any round food you can find and there you have it! (Easier said than done we must admit!)
