Borough of Medway 

Strood is located in the Borough of Medway and is borded by Rochester. Sitting on the northwest bank of the river medway, Strood has many high performing schools and good access into Central London.

Temple Manor - A scheduled ancient monument and grade I listed building in Strood. The Manor has been owned by various religious, national and farming owners over 600 years

U-475 Black Widow Russian Submarine - A Soviet Navy submarine of the Cold war period, which is now in private hands, currently moored in Strood on the River Medway

The Medway buses cover a vast area including routes going through Rainham, Rochester and Chatham. In addition, over 8 different school buses run through the town passing schools such as Rainham School for Girls and Holcombe Grammar School.
