The Land & Strategic Property Division, who are no strangers to the sale and acquisition of churches and chapels, recently acted on behalf of St Aidans Developments in their acquisition of this former chapel in Gipsy Hill. The chapel, which was clearly suffering from a distinct lack of TLC, has been in the same ownership since the late1940's and was most recently used to store tens of thousands of books. St Aidans Developments, who have recently acquired several sites for development in the local area, recognised the chapel as having clear potential for development, and subsequently instructed the Land & Strategic Property Division to approach the owners on their behalf. Contracts were exchanged within days and just 8 weeks later the sale successfully completed, free of any hitches. As a result, the previous owners have now acquired more modern premises far more suitable to their business needs, and St Aidans have successfully acquired another prime development opportunity on an unconditional basis which, it is rumoured, comes complete with an unusual sitting tenant- its own friendly ghost!
