The Land & Strategic Property Division recently acted as joint agents with Knight Frank in co-ordinating the disposal of 'Faircroft' on behalf of BUPA. Faircroft, a detached period building set over four storeys and comprising approximately 8,000 sqft of accommodation was operated by BUPA as a care home until its closure in 2002. Charged with the task of securing the best possible sale on BUPA's behalf, we employed our tried and tested marketing campaign which involved local and national advertising, quality sales, brochures, block viewings and a predetermined deadline for offers. The block viewings were well attended, and more than ten formal offers received. Our client's preference was for an unconditional sale and completion took place in early December 2004 at a price comfortably ahead of the guide. Although we have now acted for BUPA, Sainsbury's, The Scout Associate, Greene King and The Spirit Group to name but a few, we are keen to prove our expertise to further corporate clients when it comes to the disposal of surplus property with development potential.
