London Borough of Bexley

Bexleyheath is located in the South East London Borough of Bexley. It is bordered by Bexley, Barnehurst, Belvedere, Erith, Crayford, Abbey Wood, and Blackfen. Danson Park and Lake was opened in 1925 and has been given Grade 2 on the English Heritage of parks.

Look out for

The Red house – In Bexleyheath, the Red House is widely known as the origin of the Arts and Crafts movement. In 1859 it was co-designed by the architect Philip Webb and designer William Morris and was used as William Morris’ family home.

The statue ‘Family Outing’ – Situated outside the Broadway Centre, this statue was made by local artist John Ravera. The sculpture of two parents and their son playing is influenced by Mr. G Brazier of Bexley and cost £10,000.
